Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian music producer and singer. She began her career in the early 1990s. has been described as going from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influence from electronic music, hip hop and rock. Her lyrics often touch on feminist and science fiction themes. She's released five studio albums. Born and raised in Vancouver (later moving from there to Montreal), Grimes began performing her music in the late 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa which were released in 2010, via Arbutus Records. Following her the signing of 4AD the band gained the charts by releasing Visions the band's 3rd studio album. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" that earned her an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, was released in 2015. Numerous publications praised it as one of the greatest albums. 6. Her fifth studio album Miss Anthropocene, was launched in the year 2020.
